Abilene Police: man visits parole officer while drunk

Officer Jay Tollison was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 100 block of Chestnut. Officer Tollison contacted a 46-year-old white male who had shown up for a visit with his parole officer and was intoxicated.

It doesn't appear as if Taylor County voters can go wrong in their choice for sheriff.
Two inveterate, dedicated lawmen are running for the office and, on many levels their resumes are similar. Both have served the Abilene Police Department. Both worked narcotics for the majority of their careers. The only real drawback to either of them -- both have limited administrative experience. Full story »
